Any suggestions on a tight bookmarking system that will last?
I've tried del.icio.us and all that, but found the browser integration to be really inhibiting.
I'd like to just tag my bookmarks as I go, and have them available online somewhere, even privately, so I don't lose them.
I used to organise them by folder, but tags are a lot easier to use - Firefox 3's smart tagging stuff is nice - anything that integrates with that well?
Ooh, and it would be so nice to be able to have thumbnails of bookmarks .. the amount of times I can remember what a site looks like but not the name of it ..

Oh, I write this because I've lost my bookmarks again, so I badly want to find something that isn't going to fail.
Google bookmarks synchroniser and foxmarks both failed me at the same time, grr..

foxmarks doesnt work with ff3rc1 :(

fyi: you can do the .rdf editing hack with it and change the version number .. did that with web developer toolbar to get it working with ff3beta - worked a treat..
but .. no foxmarks for me .. del.icio.us is great, but the integration is rubbish from what i've experienced. Would be nice to have something that just syncs (one-way preferably) ff bookmarks to del.icio.us

Mojo, glad you found that FF3 bit. I use it all the time and have been super happy with it. Have never lost b'marks and there's no hassle to operating it.

The necessity of the plugin is inhibiting.

This is exactly how I hoped del.icio.us would work around a year ago when I tried it.
This is awesome. It's even replaced my CTRL+D :)
Very happy person now :)
Thanks guys

It's useful. I hope they come out with something more useful for OmniWeb. (I know there's a generic plugin).
