Anyone have this happen to them or know how to fix it? If I hide InDesign when I'm in the Finder, I can't get it back on the screen. The documents are still open, I can open new ones, but it will always stay hidden and I have to force quit. I've tried double-clicking the application icon in the Finder, in the dock, Apple-tabbing back to InDesign... all do nothing.
It's driving me insane.

Yeah, I've had that a few times... happens with Quark sometimes too. I thought it was spaces causing the problem so I've switched that off for now...
Haven't found a rock-solid solution to be honest...

update InDesign if you haven't already, that cures most of those things

we've had it a lot too - though personally i get it with the whole cs2 and now cs3 suite. The only cure i think is prevention...I don't know if you're like me - but I tend to have like a thousand windows open at the same time - I've always put this down as the cause. Think it's OS rather than Adobe for what it's worth.

I don't tend to use 'hide application' anymore, I just always use exposé to hide and see whatever I want. It never gets that messy.
Never had this problem with ID

It is a known bug in CS2 and CS3 with Leopard (Mac OS 10.5). If you have CS3 update to the latest version of InDesign. If, like me, you have CS2, Adobe no longer support it and there's no fix so stay away from the 'hide' command.
Oh, and the only way I've found to get it back once hidden is to force-quit. God luck.

Yup, force-quitting all the way here. Pain in the arse.

There are some suggestions as to what the cause might be here...

...but nothing definite. Guess there's no way round it right now. I just hope Apple pick up on it and work out what the problem is.

i avoid the problem by option-clicking when i switch apps rather than using "hide". seems to work.
