rouphly 140%.
the difference (£124) / £306 * 100.

A 50% increase would be 459, so you before you start you know it's about 50%.
- that was meant to show you can do an estimate first, but skt shows how properly. 40% increaseBaskerviIle

ok - so if 306 is the whole number or 100% then 1% = 3.06, so then divide 430 by 3.06 to give you the percentage, geddit?
Answer is 140.5228%
- so, according to this answer, if i were to buy something originally priced at $430 and it was 140% off, i would pay $306?duckseason
- ehhhh emmmm ummmm yeah? No that cant be right, eh I dunno.... shit - thought i had it sussed...********

The increase is 40.52%
430- 306 = 124
306/100 = 3.06 (1%)
124/3.06 = 40.52287581699346405228758169934... ( How many 1%s of 306 in 124)
