Well Vanilla...me and the Mrs are relocating there July 1st and looking into different areas to stay in...a big loft in Shockoe sounds cool but we've never been there and may not have time to visit before the move. Any thoughts?

shockoe is kinda weird.... empty during the week and too hectic on the weekends....
i lived in the fan near the vcu area. nice. church hill is cool. jackson ward is kinda ghetto, but cheap. it all depends on what you can afford, but you can find some awesome places for cheap.

most of my family has lived there for a very long time, a couple miles out of Richmond. Midlothian and Powhatan to be exact. Midlothian is really nice, lots of family suburban homes. Powhatan is slightly more farm land but really pretty if you find the right place.
