Polaroid is saying goodbye to its iconic, white-bordered instant pictures. It expects to stop selling the film next year.

they shut down the factories late last year. I went to target and bought all that i could
- doesn't the film have an expiration date? Shortish life span?BannedKappa

it seems more of an artsy thing now days rather than using it to actually take everyday photos.

they should still offer it, but scale down the production.

polaroid is not in the business to peddling to a niche market of artsy ludites, they need to make some money

it is one of the most 'dirty' film products to produce/manufacture. i love it intensely, but it must either clean up how it is made, or go.

I remember getting skin burns when I would do a ton of 669 film transfers. I love the way they look, but they do use a ton of chemicals and I am pretty sure our ocean doesn't like them.
It will be missed though.

I went through hell to get some Polaroid 55 and 669 film for school. I have a few bits left, I'm going to try and sell them tomorrow. Good stuff.
