Right, how do you go about measuring how many hooors have subscribed to your feeds?
If you even can I mean.

You use feedburner

But if you don't, your server stats should tell you how many uniques your rss has I guess.

It was my pleasure. Just bear in mind I know little about rss, haven't set up one in 2 years. As far as I understand, feedburner also takes the load off your server, as thousands of feed readers bumping it constantly can even get costly at some point.

I've only ever published feeds on a site, never really bothered with measuring them - the effects on the site as a whole are easy to see from analytics anyway, which ultimately is what is interesting... but this client wants to measure everything:
"Why should I spend the money in publishing an RSS feed if I can't measure how many people subscribe?"
"Maybe because publishing it from your CMS takes less time than your last sentence and if only one person subscribes it is one more than the current figure of zero?"
"Give me numbers"
"I'll see what I can do..."
