I fucking HATE the way he fetishises his hand with trinkets and mock symbology. He would so dearly love to be a tortured soul with a fractured spirit. He'd give his right arm for a dose of ADD or Autism, just to back up his hammy troubled artist shtick. I bet he lies in bed at night dreaming of the day he dies tragically and someone suggests his distinctive hand should be placed in Rock's hall of fame. I bet he fantasises the whole "Nation mourns" scenario... procession up the mall, hand in a little glass box on a horse drawn carriage, Bono weeping in the gutter as it passes Elton John performing Clocks at Westminster Catherdral.
He loves his hand. Really really loves his hand. There actually is something desperately wrong with this bloke's mind, but its on an entirely unmarketable and un-endearing level.
