Met some snobby woman the other night at a party who went on about how "she is a designer of her authentic lifestyle". She was a vapid, uninteresting person who insisted she was in fact a Designer, because she learned how to "Design her own Life's Style". Eventual she got around to some book she read. Here are the authors of said book:

I am an editor for a tv company and within that role I do motion graphics and often design dvd menus and loads of other things, I never ever refer to myself as a designer as I have not had any formal education in design and I would feel very very awkward indeed saying I was a designer, sure I can make a pretty picture that plenty people like but I couldn't pretend to be something which I don't think I am. When people ask me what I do I say I suck cocks and stuff.
