I'm preparing myself for a move to Chicago in the next month or 2 (from Denver). I've been digging around looking for resources on design studios out there - thought I'd post up and see if any of you QBN folk can help.
I'm more or less looking for a print design position with the possibility of web work. Any connections/resources/links would be appreciated.

my home town. but i wouldn't want to move back there at this point, the winters are too brutal for me!!! best of luck though, it is a great town

That's my one hesitancy, the weather. But I have a lot of friends out there and the music scene is so great. Besides, Denver sucks right now for design jobs. You kind of have to move to get anywhere in this industry, it seems.

I'm from Chicago and that's where I'm now. I've lived in Pennsylvania, Iowa, Wisconsin, California, and Colorado. So I can say with an educated mind that Chicago is a fucking hell hole. There are some cool people here but I have no idea why they stay.
The best places are 1)SF 2)Boulder 3)Madison

Arizona does get damn hot, but it's dry. Not like Chicago weather. The one Summer I was there it was like walking a round in a sauna, it was close to unbearable. And the more I think about it I'm not really sure why I'd want to move there. Is it worth it?
