Say you can have any a job with any agency in the world, or any job at all. What do you pick, and why?

1. Meteorologist - but I was never educated into math and physics and now it's too late;
2. Cellist - but computers drove me away from music lessons and now it's too late.
3. I would be pretty happy with graphic work/website integration, stage design and translation for any relevant theatre company or a in a classic museum doing research.
- At 1 point I wanted to be a meteorologist but I suck at mathscreative-

As a kid I used to say I would become a writer, and I put many efforts into it later on until my mid-twenties - but then that prospect slowly eroded itself off because my life went in a different direction. I still think of it, but I also know I have nothing new to say as far as literature goes. In my view, to be a proper artist (say a painter or a sculptor), a musician or a writer and seek formal and expressive evolution in that job it takes full-time dedication. It's not something you can do with spares and gigs with clients.
I don't think professional design (and doodling) and photography or video work is art, such as I don't think scratching three-chords and samples makes you a musician. It's a pretty personal view, but it is how I look at things.

"Artist". That's general horse poo, man. What does being an "artist" amounts to?
- Not working but still getting paid. It was an attempt at dry humor. Just not on the same page, are we?MrOneHundred

My dream is to not have a job, but still able to do everything financially that I want to do.
Which is why I am slowly realizing that unless I hit the lottery ... probably not going to happen.

My 'dream' job would be to be doing something useful in physics (think astrophysics or chasing the singularity through strings and quanta) - but I'm too stupid and too ADHD to spend my life buried in numbers and confusion.
So, more realistically what I'm aiming for is to have a business with no discrete aims beyond doing useful and interesting things in the world of design and production - making things.. useful things.
I'd love to be able to take one of the ideas from one of my notebooks and develop, patent and produce it. I don't care about being rich - but I do want to end my life knowing that I've added something of use to the world.
In darker moods (about 90% of the time) I'd like to follow in Crake's footsteps and create a pathogen that would kill 90% of humankind.

1) Astronaut
2) Musician (playing the saxophone would be ideal; I'll buy one when I am rich).
3) Something in television / media studiesI did all the science and math stuff necessary but knew I wouldn't be dedicated enough to do it seriously, so I went into Media Studies. Which is pretty awesome anyway.

I actually look like Paul McCartney, but here it goes - the story of my life:

"There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more."
