I get a blank white screen after it loads.
AWESOME!!
ff on xp by the way.

works fine here winxp ff. not too sure about the sliding items between sections

I had that - or, at least - only the Logo and News graphics popped up. It worked after a refresh though. But now the content isn't loading when I click on projects - the window pops up, but nothing pops in. Sometimes the Client Name and Project Description loads - but that's it.
XP, FF3b

reminds me of allsaint's first website with the interaction and rollovers
why dont u have all the props moving at different paces ?

after one refresh i got the wood background and nothing more. after another refresh i got the site and no content.
you have some serious issues with your preloaders.
- detritus0
OK. So.. I think you've a problem with your loader as I'm getting the occasional project to load in. What happens is that the loader bar pops up, the bar itself wooshes through to 100%, whilst the text only states between 16-25% - when this happens, it dies on its feet. If the text says 100%, it loads through - but whatever happens, that bar just goes off on one.

infact i dnt like those props at all. looks like u just plonked them on and havent bothered with shadows or anything.

So are Pantone gonna sue for improper use of their stuff?
- think adobe r more likely to sue for impropper use of flash and photoshopWeLoveNoise

As far as a crit is concerned, I'm afraid I really don't like it. As WeLoveNoise says, all the elements are just plonked on there - there's very little art in it, no integration with the background - the elements chosen are trite, the sliding is incongruous (they're sitting on cork, for crissakes - not a coke-laden mirror). Considering how little is going on in there - there's too much going on - too many hokey fonts and buttons, disparately thrown together without any thought for usability - I mean, you've not even linked the SM logo to a 'homepage'.
When this sort of site is done well, it can work really, really well.
Otherwise, as in this case, it just looks like an unthought 'alternate' site thrown together by a naive student/graduate.
Just my opinion, but .. well.. Sorry.
- thank you, i posted the site on here for critique like that, it's appreciatted.warwicka

ok, got it to load. and can't say i'm impressed... it's an idea that has been done a lot now (i have done it myself) and it's done badly.
it just feels very, very flimsy. if you are going to move all the items as a whole, move the desk too, add a bit of shadow to the items, cut them out properly, think about why they are there in the first place...
think about the details, why would masking tape pop into place? why is your logo floating above an angled bit of lined paper?

dnt wana go to town on u mate but heres a quote from your portfolio
"Andrew Warwick is an award winning, multi-disciplined freelance art director based in Derbyshire, England specialising in multi-media, animation and illustration. "
no offense but you have made some monumental errors with this projects in both technical and interactive.
these are literally schoolboy errors and as an award winning art director u should have spotted these from a mile off.

Not my bag but well done

All that hand drawn type and 'on the corkboard' stuff is about 4 years out of date, sorry but this looks retrograde and like skt said, its poorly done. There has been no pride taken in showing your work, it's just flat jpgs, and poorly exported jpegs at that, the site is generally too static and uncrafted to gel with this kind of concept, better off just converting what you have to a clean layout, then at least it looks like you went one up from straight HTML rather than doing a lazy job of a concept site, which is how it currently stands.

fucking rotis - WTF?
And I don;t understand why you would choose to do a top trumps type 'about us' profiles, and then just put them in a book? You know like - are they top trumps or are they a book? You just put them in a book because you managed to steal that little book widget didn't you?

I feel bad for you, I think this thread has probably demotivated you for today :(

nah, it's all good, thanks for the feedback.
sorting out the preloaders now.

well, whilst I can see that all the above is true, detritus especially is an excellent critic and feedback like that is gold...the site actually gave me a good feeling about who you were - it did communicate - just something about the colors and everyone smiling - I think you struck a good balance between fun and seriousness and I 'liked' you all after about 20 seconds, which is the job Im sure you set out to do... It would, I'll conceded 'be a much better site' if you took the above crits to heart and improved those aspects that they point out, but incongruous or not, I liked it.

thanks mikotondria3 :]
i know there's loads wrong with it technically, there is with almost every website. but essentially you get to see the work and gives you a feel of the people involved.
