... and QBNseriously. QBN'rs bitching about social networking? what's the difference. you create an account, login, and bullshit with strangers on the internut.

bullshit. They are all different, and have pros and cons. Twitter is excellent..
I post updates to twitter, and it goes to pownce, facebook, website, even my msn messenger status message. And you can update through text as well. Twitter is awesome. Also it lets you follow the updates of interesting people. I follow lots of designers who are doing interesting work, and other people who are relevant to the web/new media field.
The way I see it:
Myspace: emo kids & mostly crap bands
Bebo: 12 year olds
Pownce: people who got passed a beta invite and feel obligated to use it (I registered the '_' username)
Linkedin: Professionals, old people with money
Twitter: awesome people
Facebook: Everybody who isn't of the above (oops)

well, there are WAY too many social networks out there. and who needs more "friends." But it does help to get your work in front of the right ppl.
if you are looking for a PROFESSIONAL network (and you are a creative), you should check out BEHANCE.

I have no SN accounts, the last thing I want is douchebags from the past getting in touch, they're in the past for a reason mostly.
