Ordered a pair yesterday, just heard they have turned up. Going home at lunchtime to have a look...
Ooooooh, it's exciting :)

haha didnt wanna go with serato and tables eh?

Tables? What's that?
Nah, I draw the line at using a laptop. If you'd asked me 12 months ago i would have laughed off the idea of 'going digital' and using CDJs.
I've played vinyl for the last 10 years, I expect to get at least 10 years out of CDJs. After that I'll probably retire :)

LOL i always wanted cdj cecks but when i tried them it wasnt the same feel as vinyl so i stayed away but i got both tech 1200's and vestax decks and i dont think i will go with cd decks after the finding of serato has saved my life from carrying creates and creates of music

Yeah, I'm quite looking forward to only carrying one or two cd wallets around instead of two fucking heavy record bags.
Apart from one venue which doesn't have CDJs so I'll have to take those with me, which isn't really a problem, you can get some pretty sweet CDJ bags these days. Don't like the idea of flightcases.
Need to look into insurance if I take my 1000s around - don't want some pisshead pouring a bottle of wine over them, won't be happy.

So you tried Serato and didn't like it?

They are awesome! :) Loving it... it's brought the inner child of DJing out of me again, reminds me of when I first started, but the learning curve is a lot shallower - took half an hour of playing around on them before I blasted off a few mixes...
The hot cue and hot loop functions are wicked, probably more useful than I thought they would be...
Sound quality is great, even on my old amp.
Next on the hit list is a DJM-700 mixer! :)
