James Bond, bi-sexual? That'll be the last time I watch it. I expected 100% fully GAY

Actually was better than I thought it was gonna be. Much more of an action movie than Casino Royale, but it's a well made action movie. With lots of killing. It's miles away from the camp James Bond of the 70s, and that's probably a good thing, but I hope they give him (Daniel Craig) more to do in the next one. Also for some reason, the image they used in all the advertising of him walking with the machine gun, never appears in the film itself.

i thought it was terrible. i nearly walked out. you can tell that this is the only one not actually based on an ian fleming book.

Every time I go back and watch a Roger Moore Bond film I get surprised how ridiculous they actually were. Bunch of plots and villains that only made sense in Austin Powers world.
But this is what Bond franchise is supposed to be. Hot chicks, ridiculous opponents threatening to end the world, lots of action and catchy dialogues.
Craig's character has the appeal of a pro heavyweight boxer who suddenly discovered he had some internal life, so these films have a little different character.. ;)

i loved casino royale, don't get me wrong. and i think craig is a brilliant bond. he's just been so completely let down by the script, that guy paul haggis is the biggest hack ever. plus, in casino royale, the plot and supporting characters were engaging, whereas this lot are completely boring and useless. the cgi was terrible, too. total let down.

The first car chase was neat, but badly edited at the end. I wonder if they lacked footage or had to edit the scene for length.
The opera sequence was a nice touch too. Actually, it was pretty good.
I didn't remember Casino Royale at all (must've been good), so the plot references to it didn't say anything but "he's motivated by revenge".
It was Friday after work, my brain is numb then. Maybe that's why I had no idea what the last scene had to do with anything other than adding another exotic location to the list..Just to rephrase: I loved the title sequence font!

i remember lots about casino royale, which i last saw when it came out. this film i saw on saturday night and can't remember a thing except that if you were going to drown someone in crude oil, they wouldn't end up uniformly black and glossy. they'd look like one of those poor seabirds.
- Funny I tried to compare the two on my recolections. I remember a ridiculous antidote chase only from CR that's allrafalski

Friday night, sick...don't remember much of the film. The action scenes were good, Bond being a human was good. Bond looking like shit for the entire film was realistic, but a bit of a downer since he was hawt in Casino Royale. I also liked the Bond girls in Casino Royale better than this one, but they were OK.
Overall: not as good as the first. There were some things that made the experience decent. My friend (who doesn't know much about design) loved the opening titles and fonts, which made me smile.

QoS was good. Not as good as Casino Royale, but still good.

Fucking shit sandwich of a movie. Plotlines that were never explored and a fragmented and scattered story. Terrible choice for director - why the hell didn't they stick with Martin Campbell is beyond me. I love Craig as Bond - but this movie did not do him justice. Apparently the Brocoli idiots that own this franchise cut 15 minutes from the end of the movie that re-introduced Mr White and set up the next movie as they were afraid that if the movie tanked a follow-up would not be viable.
So that's what you get when studio fuckwits interfere - a shitsandwich of a movie.

myself and the girlfriend went to see it the other night and we both thought it was total bollox.
The mysogeny isn't even funny anymore because Bond just came across as a bit of a cunt. The use of the "withering female" (classic bond mechanism) was really bad. THe premise that he was able to break out of the mould of "protecting the empire" and focus on personal vengence was ruined by the fact that the only lady he fucked along the way was murdered and he didn't really give a shit.
The action editing was really irritating. The shoe-horned story of the corrupt environmentalists was also really weak.
My g/f reckons bond just went downhill after Dalton and they keep making it worse.
