is it stable?help me out I'm about to buy it.

isn't bootcamp built into Leopard?
The only thing that isn't stable is Windows I guess.
- Drno0
really?? built where?
how about parallels
- Ianbolton0
Not sure about parallels. Why would you wanna do this?
- Drno0
thanks lanbolton, will give it a try

Parallels sucks for everything but running a Windowz version of Office.
Bootcamp, the update and software is completely stable and integrates nicely.
Any Windowz install you put on will however be just as crap as on a normal PC.

i'll look into it,
good that I don't have to buy it
- Ianbolton0
Don't you have to buy windows though? I'd draw the line there i reckon!

I have winxp, runs really smooth,
I''ll update to vista in a year of two, i'm not in a hurry

You do have to buy a copy of windows and also any anti virus software.
I've been runniing bootcamp/winxp/ on my MBP for over a year and it's OK but not wonderfull. I've said before, I bought a mac for the higher spec, faster processor but primarily I needed windows - it's been a slightly steep learning curve with windows on a mac. But it's handy to have both OS on one machine.MBP looks nice too.

have it installed and running for more than a year now, even erased and installed leopard on the mac partition and all went smooth. Only use windows for games.
I highly recommend that you print the installer guide from apple and follow everything step by step because it can be tricky and you don't want to erase the wrong partition...

VMWare Fusion seems more advanced than Parallels, support for multiple processes, support for 3D (well, it's getting there neway). Seems to run smoother for me neway.

Mac runs Windows better than it does its own OS. Use Bootcamp and never look back.

I use VMWare Fusion
http://www.vmware.com/products/f…Fast and smooth.
- Drno0
Jaline did you have any problem installing it and what version of windows do you run?
- Jaline0
No problems with installation.
Windows XP.I only used it about 15-20 times to run a program and do some assignments. So I didn't allocate much space for it, but you can.

I use Leopard now. It's fine.

I use Boot Camp and VMWare Fusion to run both XP and Vista and I've had no problems out of either (OS or Boot Camp/VMWare) on a Mac Pro. Everything runs smoothly.
