are you using pixel size values or "large / larger" commands?
- Mojo0
Pixel values, but I've tried others. It's on a 'static' site.

//so weird this is a problem in IE 7.....

I'm not surprised .sIFR is great, but it's too awkward. I'd rather just make it headline tag with an image and hide the font.

@adev: It's fine apart from IE7 (and IE6, which I don't care about so much), which is really quite gay! So annoying.
I have a reset.css reseting everything, and my css for the h2's is as following:
h2 { font-size: 14px; color: #9FBF63; padding-left: 8px; line-height: 28px; }
Any ideas what I can do?
It's working so nicely in Firefox, how frustrating.

I've had a problem with this before too. It's b/c IE recognizes H2 differently. Rename that a div ID (#headlineText or something) and it should work
- Mojo0
so change the h2's to a div? I'd like to keep h2s for SEO etc..
Or do you mean give the h2 an ID, and use that selector.. I'll try that.
Thanks

Which version of sIFR are you using?
- Mojo0
kreydle! Thank you so much :) YOU JUST MADE MY EVENING :)
It's funny how people think differently about things, I didn't think of trying that (too many things to think about in my head atm)
Thanks again mate.

I am using the latest sIFR as of 6 hours ago.

Hmm, I spoke too soon. That method of using h2#id only works for the first h2 in IE7, and not at all in firefox.
I'm on the right path now though, when I figure it out I'll post it here.

yeah, I've fought the same problem, gave up and just named a class .headlinetext, because all browsers interpret h1 & h2 differently it is a bit of a pain.
apple uses a weird workaround in their css, not sure if this would help you.
.clearer {
clear:both;
display:block;
font-size:1px;
height:0pt;
line-height:1px;
margin:0pt;
padding:0pt;
}- Never actually tried giving a div this class as well, declared before your actual h1 of course. It's a shot in the dark.brains

looks like the moz ie font scaling issue...
body{font-size:62.5%}then use EMS for all your font goodness and dont rely on any default stylings
- Mojo0
trooper: Solved!
It was that issue, I didn't think of it because without sIFR the text was spot-on. Phew!
I'm quite chuffed now :)
