Probably discussed ad nauseam, but I need to take a 55 page book from Quark 7 and migrate it to Indesign CS3.
What's the best way to do this?
Thanks in advance.

I use the Q2ID plugin. It's a tad pricey, but it works like a charm.

i've only noticed some quirkiness (ie: text insets slightly, etc.)
But for the most part, it's fucking A1.

is this the easiest way to do this?
marketing dept at my office is trying to get this to work and they apparently can't run a simple app.
i suggested they save the quark files as something else and open them in Indesign and the IT geeks all laughed at me... like i care [sniff sniff tear]

Go with Gucci, Q2ID plugin is great.
You can save down to Quark 4.0 and open that with Indesign, but I'm not sure you can do that from Quark 7 and apparently it's not reliable.

yeah the gimps i work with have q2id and apparently they can't figure it out, and now they're crying because there's no support # to call and bitch to
thanks for the responses guys i was just curious

It's pretty simple, install in your Indesign plugins folder then open Quark docs in Indesign.
File-Open-Chose Quark doc.
