btw, i don't know why you want to work in Portugal...beside the good food, wine and weather, they pay really low compare to Spain...

Working in a design company in Portugal is not advised. go Freelance, working the same number of hours by yourself, you can make almost 3X more income than if you're sitting on the desk right beside your Creative/Art director

Thanks folks!
Mishga: I know nothing about salaries in Lisbon. Here in Madrid I earn 33000 € / year as Senior Art Director thought my best one was in my previous job (40000 € - but this is not a usual salary, anyway). Salaries go from 24.000 (very low for Madrid, which is a very expensive city) to 33/36000 if you're very lucky) in the interactive bizz.
And... apartments are not cheap. A one bed. 50 sqr. mtrs. apt. may cost around 850/1000 € per month.Yeah, I know this may sound funny for someone in London or NY, where you have to 'pay for breathing' :)
Another interesting city could be Paris. I need a change after 12 years in Madrid.

How are salaries in Lisbon?
- ESKEMA0
the kind of salaries that make you want to cry every night...
something between 800 and 1500 average...
some make more, some make less

People who are in first job situation are the worst ones...
I know people who worked 4 months with no pay...
On the link i post up ahead, you will find some agency posts like "Internship (no pay)". Don't bother answer those ones...
ESKEMA is right, and you will find lower...

Wow... how can you live there? ...the city is not cheap... at least that's what i think. How much does cost a one bedroom apt. (per month) in a good/safe/etc. street?
Anyway, I have twelve years of experience and top brands in my book. I think I'm gonna try...

try this one too:

with 12 yrs and and a good portfolio you can aim at a higher rank at some big agencys, would say probably 2000+ €, but it's not easy.
my flat cost me 400€ a month, alone and really great location but that was a ffffound!! normal will be 200/300 for a room, 450/600 for a flat living alone.
