- how can i not find these chords anywhere? one of the best songs of my generation. pissed.notype
- hehe, notype have you tried open e tuning yet? just tune the guitar to e major and play simple shapes on the bottom two strings around the 5th fret.kingsteven
- and let the top 4 ring out... you'll get this quick enough...kingsteven
- actually, i was thrown by her fingering at the start with the 12string overdub, from the chorus it actually looks like standard tuning hahkingsteven
- man, that has me melted now. some of those shapes just don't make sense to me... the g string dropped to F#?kingsteven
- Thanks kingsteven, at 8:02, I sort of follow but on a 12 string. Total beginner here on 6 https://www.youtube.…notype
- thanks for the encouragement. not a beginner tune. i think i may need to stick with the light stuff. it's like she's playing chords from the afterlife to me lolnotype
- ah man, i'm not a great guitarist by any means, but trying this on my acoustic last night and it reminded me what slim necks those ovations have. hahkingsteven
- tried it on my electric 12 this morning (with that other vid) and it does make sense in standard tuning after all. but look at how small her hands are and howkingsteven
- bunched up her fingers are on some of those. I have massive hands and my acoustic is a 12th fret OOO so some of them are really tricky.kingsteven
- and on the 12 even joan is hitting a few dud notes here and there...kingsteven
