I tell you this much. They spelt 'Thamks' wrong.
"Its all big typography, self aggrandising and the usual graphic twaddle put on a pedestal and made momentarily valuable by the desires of other designers who were not invited to participate."
Thats the official description text, copied and pasted.

Now I've got the traditional cynicism out of the way, can I just say, it looks like a great idea and I'll be bidding for soem of the afformentioned twaddle.

By the way Dowling, did you know there's a space for this to be advertised on the front page of QBN?
I'd stick it in there, we could do with more decent things on the Public Choice.

Cheers Spooky, just posted it.

Hey, if you're still there...
So, you are students and you've pulled this together to raise funds for your show right?
Its bloody amazing, well done. I posted a stupid response up there in the list condemning it... its my standard response to anything on QBN and meant to make me look stupid more than anything, but after posting it and THEN looking at your site I wish I could delete that post now. Nobody will take it seriously, but still, I regret writing it. Its a great idea and really nicely presented online too, so apologies for my clowning around up there ^ and good luck with the auction!

HI Spooky
No worries mate. Sadly I'm not a student, (I wish I could turn back the clock) but a part-time lecturer at the University of Lincoln (I run my own studio Dowling Design & Art Direction). The site has been developed by three students on our course – so it is basically a student project and yes to raise funds for the end of year show.
The response has been great and should give Lincoln a head start when it comes to the thousands of designers graduating this year.
I did smile when I read your post, because that's what exactly what I would have written if I wasn't involved in The Design Auction, so again no worries.
Everyone seems keen on the Ian Anderson prints. My money is on David Hillman's signed copy of his hard back edition of Nova (which is due to go up on the site this week).
More stuff is coming in all the time so please keep visiting.

Some really nice work up for grabs.
Good to see famous designers actually putting in effort to things like this rather than the rediculousness of something like this https://www.teetonic.com/shop/pe…

*wonders if the London Typographic Map was thought of by someone then left to actually DO by a junior lol.
