I need to get a shared server to host our company website and email. Email is very important and most be stable. I wanted to switch to Mediatemple but have read mix reviews about there email service, any clues will be a great help.

I have used so many hosting companies in the past and I recently signed up with Media Temple because I was tired of dealing with crappy service, poor admin interfaces, and down time.
I'm now a true believer in MT.
- Is it worth all the cash you pay? Cause They sure do look cool and they have been tempting.univers

I have used Bluehost. They have been really great! It might just be that I have been lucky to be placed on pretty empty server boxes, but they have been pretty cool. Their site is very usable, and very well priced.

It really isnt that expensive. A few extra bucks a month maybe. When your email is down - you'll wish you could pay someone that extra couple of bucks to get it working again.

Ya was weary of mediatemple because of hype. I just read some reviews and the bad review have the exact same problems as I am having now. Lagit email get blocked. I also need to install wordpress and like the fact that is already installed and support in MT. Right now I am with web.com. But I was not originally with them, my original company vservers got bought out like five time and now I part of this monster and all the support is outsourced and I can talk to anyone in NA anymore it sucks. Talk to support is like talk to someone on the dark side of the moon.

So if I have a year contract with Blue host is there a way I can cancel it immediately and move over to Media Temple?
By the way I bet you QBN is loving this as Mediahost is related to them. LOL they are brewing customers.

Cost really isn't a problem. I want the best service possiable and tech support too. Our biz depends on email so cost is not a factor.

I've used mediatemple for years, but what's up with their php configuration? I have some code that works on every server i've ever put it on except this damn gridserver. i get some nonsensical error.

it's choking on the first line of a class file, which is:

- weird. seems as though it doesnt like "implements" keyword. Perhaps a setting in the INI that keeps you from altering the base classes....heavyt
