editable div in template? Help!

  Bon matin, I'm new to divs. My site basically runs in two divs instead of two frames. I used to link to the second frame but now the whole page has to reload. Is there a way of making a template in dreamweaver so that the second div is an editable region and effectively it's only the content of that div that changes?
