Yo
Just changed my site a little, would appreciate feedback but go easy, I'm a bloke trained in pencils, not macs!

The bg image repeats. Is it supposed to?
- i kinda like that...doesnotexist
- I like it too in certain cases, but I'm not sure if it really works. It probably doesn't matter in this case, actually.Jaline

site is OK. work is underwhelming.

If it's supposed to, un-suppose to. Feel very overwhelming...
- ?!?!?!?!? OVERwhelming?!?!?!doesnotexist
- Maybe 'overwhelming' is not the right word; jumbled might be better...skwiotsmith

It's not anything out of this world, but it's simple and displays your work.

I think maybe you should make a site that is more like your work. it's clean for you.
- *it's TOO clean for you.doesnotexist
- I don't want the site to interfere with the work - hence the whiteness.Atkinson

One thing is, I wouldn't have so many clicks to get to the actual picture of the work piece. For example, instead of having us click on:
Commissions --> Mex magazine --> (4 images to click on) --> (larger image of whichever of the 4 images you click on)
Maybe get rid of the "(4 images to click on)" section and go straight to the zoomed-in images. You already have (next) and (prev) links to get through the sets.
It doesn't mean that it's always better to have less clicking, but it may work and make things more quick.

yes I thought that [Jaline]. I was using indexhibit, the reason I changed was simply to have rss for the images, but I guess people wont use that anyway - maybe I'll go back to indexhibit frame?

"hire me now damn it" does not strike me as cute. It strikes me as a bit lame and desperate.
Sorry to be so blunt.
- Mellimelvin0
ouch... frames.
- utopian0
Are frames en vogue again?
- Atkinson0
look mum no frames, happy now?

I like your sketchbooks. I constantly wish I had more time to devote to just drawing and whatnot.

good work--
they know not what they say
- +1kalkal
- you're an illustrator--as long as you can see the work, which you can, who cares about the fine points of the site?********

The only thing I don't dig are the blue links on the left. Add some css!
- kalkal0
I must add, you seem to revamp your site a lot and not do massive changes, If I remember corrently, some revisions have been better than others. Is this change for changes sake?
- creative-0
Make the site your own a little, but not too distracting from your work. Let it compliment it, as at present it doesn't.
- Atkinson0
hm maybe but web design etc isnt what I'm about and decorating things without a purpose isn't either - turns into craft that way I think. This change is to try and get my head around divs - I've used frames for a long time. If I can't get my head around them then it'll be back to frames! Maybe I'll change the blue links!

Best version of that eatock site I've seen... Still like the 'Social Club' piece too... well done
- Atkinson0
it's not the Eatock one, I tried that and couldn't get along with it, this is more simple I think, I suppose it's kind of the same as Eatock but without the backend, as it were!
