didn't look up to see the replay on the scoreboard after every stoppage in play. I'm trying to remember what they did on camera back in the good 'ol days after a goal, penalty, etc. Spit?

It has its good aspects and its bad. It's less fair without cameras (unless you have lots of fair referees, which doesn't always happen).

I think as far as the psychological pluses is that in football if you look at the scoreboard you notice the down and distance... better preparing you for the run or the pass...
In bball you gotta look up there for your fouls, time, possession arrow, other teams fouls, team fouls and all the other stuff.
It helps though if you got a brain and your lookin
