they've apparently updated the terms:
"This license is solely to enable us to technically administer, display, and operate the Services."i think, you guys are overreacting. why would dropbox want any of this stuff anyway?

I've been using it for over a year now. Pretty cool, specially if you share a lot of files with your mobile devices.
I hate to read too much into it, but as always, when it's too good to be true, just a matter of time, like someone said it, that it will be acquired by some major company and everyone will be screwed in some way or form.

The new TOS while sounding scary is them basically saying "When you share your stuff publicly with Dropbox, we are in essence re-publishing this to 3rd parties and by agreeing to our TOS you explicitly agree and allow us to do so.", not "We're gonna sell your WIP backup folder."
