alternatives to scrolling text?

hey. anyone have any good refs/ideas on how to present long pieces of text apart from the usual vertical scroller in flash? thx

well, the idea is you have a column of text, and a next button at the bottom that can provide the next section of text without a page refresh.
<<< just like the PV menu.

just reset what your textfields .text or .htmlText is, programmatically..

If you have to scroll, the text is too fucking long.

People tense up when they see a scrollbar in flash that doesnt look like their standard html scrollbar...Try to find one, if you have to, that is as generic and undesigned as possible. People are nervous that the text in the box won't scroll in exactly the way (no easing or elasticity please...), and at exactly the same rate they'd expect..
Don't try to make anyone have to think about how to access the other text...
