A while back i can remember seeing someone in CR (i think) had designed packaging and print for a church (in New York i think).
Really witty and creative things -
i can remember the packaging for candles called 'Holy Smoke Candles' - they had loads of others - it was well good.
Anyone else know about this - or was i dreaming (again).
Cheers MrM

Oh God I think this work is really awful. Punnery at its most peurile. I can't fucking stand it. He describes this project as 'Rebranding God', he sings that fucking awful 'Amazing Grace' cover version himself too, and he reduces the word of god to a bunch of really cheesey word associations on cups and umbrellas (as he does with almost all of his 'rebranding' jobs) that do nothing to convey the message at all. This bloke is really the creative world's David Brent. Hopelessly lacking in any sense of irony, or shame.
I'm an atheist, or an agnostic, whichever best conveys to you the notion that I do not believe most effectively, and even as a non-believer I see this work as being very detrimental to the 'christian mission'.
Equally as bad is his 'Cold Turkey' concept.... ARRRGH, everything about this bloke's work makes me shed a tear for the industry.

Do want some 'God Bless You' Tissues to wipe away your tear?
