fyi - I'm in town for a couple days as of the 21st [Friday/March] and might be able to nip out for a few that night if you're able to Ben... maybe you can bring your girlfriend Eunice too...

Oh, just thought of an important one, try not to let any bottom burps. You do not want to be remembered in that way.

Just heard back from Hector. Apparently, "circumstances have changed in Glasgow, and they no longer require a designer."
I'm gutted. Thought it was too good to be true.
He said he'll stay in touch and let me know if things change.
I have another interview with www.egelnickandwebb.com tomorrow, but to be honest I'm pissed off with being invited to show my work and then not hearing anything. Any advice, folks?
- sorry to hear that man ;( but these things happen, take it in stride and keep going...neue75_bold

I never heard of Egelnick&Webb. Once again I'm am absolutely gobsmacked by the sheer amount of top-quality level design companies that exist at the moment. Their works looks really nice and what a great client list.
As for getting pissed off... yeah, it happens, but make sure you don't convey that in your meeting in any way. better to seem in demand than ground down by a fruitless slog. When I was designing, I used to spend the night before an interview doing something completely new and self-initiated in a sketch book. I'd always explain that I'd done it the previous night and why (specifically for the purposes of having something totally new and previosuly unseen to show in the meeting). I'd whack it out near the beginning and it just seemed to be a good 'lift' to a portfolio that I had grown tired of going through. Also, if you're a bit bored of your folder by now then re-order the projects and don't spend too long looking it through it in the new order, so that it hasd a bit of a surprise element for you as well as them. Those were my tricks anyhoo.
Hope it goes well Ben!
