Typepad lets you use your own domain name (that you register elsewhere) to point to your blog.

just install wordpress on your own hosting account.

blogger.com does the same thing. you could get kiakelly.blogspot.com if you wanted.

yeah I saw the blogspot address via blogger.com - thanks.. did you send me the ffffound invite emukid or was that emokid.... thanks either way anyway, I've been using it quite a lot... it's great, apart form Starwars Saturation

blog.domain.com or anything.domain.com is a subdomain. it has nothing to do with a particular blog software. you could put anything there.
