Does anyone else almost, almost feel like we're arguing with Derek and Ghetti? LOL.

400k for that? someone is going to be very, very unhappy.

You'd have thought that after spending 5k on the site that there would have been some of the money left over invested in hosting.

Professional to talk about this stuff?

You both sound like children, fighting over a broken, poorly designed tonka truck

as for the site, not so bad - I do agree that it could load faster, and that the result was not worth the wait

all I know is bang up job on cutting out the students on the right
- I like the way the guy on the right is closer to the camera than the guy in the middle, yet behind him.********
- either that or he just has a massive face.********
- The guy making the breast gesture to the school name is just awful, unprofessional.mg33

Looks like it's working now. Honestly, it's not a horrible site by any measure, but it's nothing earth-shattering either, which makes me wonder what the "new commitment to interactivity and web standards" bit is related to.
Do you mean strictly for the school itself - as in a marked improvement over previous sites? Or, do you mean for the Web in general? If the former, from a marketing angle the flash and brief testimonials is going to work nicely to promote the school. People love that sort of thing.
If the latter, those features are NOTHING new and I'm sure you know that. It's video and flash.
I'm not trying to criticize but trying to understand that claim you made in the first post.
I will add this as a final note, as copied from the site:
"Your search - beef tacos - did not match any documents.
Suggestions:
* Make sure all words are spelled correctly.
* Try different keywords.
* Try more general keywords.
* Try fewer keywords."It's not a Web site until there's content about beef tacos.

this has probably been a lesson to all, final point I have to make is that rel="nofollow" is on all external links here.
call me cynical.
