How do you work?

    The agency i work at is going to through some major changes. Right now, our interactive team is 100% integrated. Most of the team designs and develops the site/banners/email.

    There is some rumors that the team is goign to split. moving the art directors away from the developers. I dont think this is such a good idea, but this is the only Agency Ive worked at.

    Anyone care to share how your teams are set up? I am curious if the interactive art directors art part of a brand creative team or are you specialized into a group.

    It seems that the Online Medium is the only one where you would have a dedicated team. You dont see a specialized Radio creative team, or a Print Specific team.

    Anyway... I digress, How do you work?

    for a large company the brand teams are separate from the online ADs. this is so they can bill the client many times over having many teams.

    Our art directors are assigned to project groups based on the projects that are open, along with developers, copywriters, and other artisans. The projects can last 2 weeks or 2 years, and that team is assembled almost exclusively for each project, depending on their demands. I don't think it's a good idea to split designers from developers during a project as productivity and efficience is sacrificed.

    I have 8 Interactive Art Directors / Developers, 1 dedicated developer, 4 Off-site Freelance Developers.

    everyone has 8 - 10 jobs they are working on at a time. mostly e-mail, banner campaigns
