I have postscripted but its still about 12mb and to big to send about?

12MB sounds about as small as you'll get it unless you drop resolution or image quality.
Try reducing the file size in Acrobat... but not if it's going to print.

If its just a low res, change your image quality settings to JPEG low in your distiller preferences. Otherwise split it into chunks and email/make downloadable in smaller portions.

I never quite get Acrobat to reduce document size (kb wise). What I did last time was export as eps from Acrobat, open the eps files in Illustrator and save them as pdfs, then merge all the pdfs back into a single doc in Acrobat. That way the doc was reduced from 9mb to just over 200kb. Of course, this was not for print.

you can possibly get away with reducing the dpi from 300 down to 266...that was a trick an old senior designer from back in the day showed me...266 is more than fine for most print jobs and you won't see any degradation in the appearance of the file...
anyhow, give that a shot...has worked for me in the past....

well its not for print, just has to be res enough for them to get a good look at it?
where do i drop the res? in indesign? do i still export as postscript?

Export as postscript then change your settings in distiller, go to settings - edit Adobe PDF settings - Images
Then drop it to a lower number.
