What's the correct way to add a flash .swf to your html site?
After reading this:
http://www.jeroenwijering.com/?i…I'm still no clearer on which way is universally correct, up-to-minute, pc/mac compatible etc...
Do iI really have to faff around using that javascript 'swfobject.js' stuff to simply add a swf to my site and know it'll work the same on every browser?
I'm using a mac with safari and I'm afraid to say everything just works - i don't need to use 'swfobject.js' for it to work as it should, but do I need to for it to work on a PC?
Is this true regarding IE on a PC: "you'll see a grey border appearing around an SWF when you move your mouse over it. Before interacting with it, you first have to click once to activate it."?

AC_FL_RunContent.js is the adobe fix for embedding flash. Either one should work.
And DW will add the AC_FL_RunContent.js for you in a Scripts folder if you're using DW.

thanks joyride for clearing that up.
This internet stuff is getting messy - depending on the computer/browser you use a page can look different unless a bunch of css, javascript, html hacks are employed. How is that 'the future'?
At least a book looks the same no matter who picks it up.
