Does anyone know a way to find, say "a9"
but change only the "9" to a different character style?I can change the whole "a9" part but not just the "9"....
Ideas?
thanks in advance!

hmmm...thats gonna require some thinking...
you mentioned character style so if you already have one then youshould be able to just change it from the palette. If not, you might want to make one for it...

you can find and replace using a combination of the "Find what:" and "Find format:" boxes. put 9 into the "find what" and "change to" boxes. select the current character style in "find format" and set the "change format" box to the character style you want the 9 to be. i'd go through using "find" and "change" instead of "change all" to make sure you are changing only the 9's that are next to a's. that's the fastest way i could come up with.

thanks ender - that's what i'll do.
there might be some kind of boolean addition to the "change to" statement, maybe, but i don't know what that'd be...
thanks everyone!
