My Macmail app wont let me re-look at messages in my sent folder. It gives me a mesage saying the email hasn't been downloaded from the server or some such nonsense.
If I hit it and quit then restart it will show it to me. I've got by like that but now it takes more and more quits to get this trick to work.
Is there anything I can change settingwise?
Is there a little gizmo somewhere I need to cast out, like a prefs doodad?
Will I ever reach Valhalla?
Is there such a thing as invisible paint?

I had this problem on mac mail too, never got around it (moved studios and now use entourage) but I think its to do with the amount of mails you have stored on it.
I'd suggest burning all your old emails (maybe anything over a year or two old) to DVD as a backup and dump them from mail, should ease the frustrations somewhat, or at least make it a bit nippier.

I had a feeling that might be the answer Ian. I find it frustrating that Mac stuff has these limitations as I have some clients for whom its necessary to be able to refer back, quickly, to an email of two years ago. Frankly, I'm disappointed and I hold you responsible for bringing this shortfall to my attention.

Sorry chief, I am usually regarded as the harbinger of doom, so not surprised its caught up with me on here too.
Its a pain in the arse because I much prefer using mac mail to entourage but entourage just seems to be more stable. Goddamn microsoft, now I feel dirty and must shower.

I have a strong mental image of you as a harbinger now. I may never shake it. I had no visual reference to draw on having never actually seen a harbinger before, so I have you as an eight foot tall cross between the grim reaper, the 70's wrestler Giant Haystacks, and the lorry in this thread....

You're lurking behind a photocopier, failing hopelessly to blend in despite the clipboard and reception area hat stand you clutch in your massive clawed fists.
