Hi there,
Since I've almost reached the point of using our flatbed scanner as a trampoline I think it's wise to ask you guys this before I lose it:
Everytime I open PS (CS3) it tells me that one of the plug-ins won't load. I've tried everything; connected the scanner to several computers, downloaded the driver software over and over again, put the plug-in in any Photoshop file I could find but without any result.
Hope someone out there is a pro with this particular #$!**$. Thanks in advance!

did you try reinstalling photoshop?
- Not yet; the scanner used to work like a charm back in the day. But it's worth a try, cheersLuuk

So the scanner doesn't work on any of the computers you've tried it on? Cos if its just one, maye PS's preferences have become corrupt, dump the prefs and try again.
Failing that, maybe scanner usb cable is fucked, or maybe the scanner is just knackered.

are you on leopard? my canon scanner worked great with tiger. then i upgraded to leopard and found that the canon drivers don't play so nice with the new os. and of course, canon is draggin their feet to update the driver (if they ever will)...
- Hear hear... I think you're right; I'll go right ahead and try it on another mac still running on tiger, cheersLuuk

Cheers demafleez; I've connected it to the Last of the Mohicans in here running on tiger and CS2 and it's scanning as we speak... I'm so happy I could throw the scanner in the air, and not catch it!
thanks!

good for you man! glad it worked out. the solution for my problem? scanning stuff in windows using VMWare fusion! technology is soo dumb sometimes.
