Mac Mail now crashes

  Just tried to open Mac Mail this morning to check my e-mails and BAM!!! The app crashes during send & receive of messages.

  I have tried repairing disk permissions but that has not worked. Also Restart.

  Got everything on this, is there a quick fix or at least a file I can copy before reinstall so I keep all my Emails ???

  Anyone else had this happen? Would appreciated some help :-/

  Quit Mail and move its preference file out of your 'Home > Library > Preferences' folder, then start Mail to see if that helps.

  • Yeah it doesn't crash, but asks to setup email account all over again. Going to clear some messages in POP account incase it's a corrupt html emailjysta
