Well - to be fair to the poor thing I have been running CS3 on it non stop for a couple weeks working 13-14 hour days without a reboot. Fucking thing has just probably had enough and would rather die than have to handle batch processing anymore fucking banners...and I can't say I blame it

it happened to my ibook g3. when closed it obviously didn't turn off the screen and other functions and overheated itself. even some parts melted. no chance of survival. heard it was a general fail-thing with the g3s.

have you tried holding power button in a long time to make sure its not actually crashed/frozen, not off?

Yes this happened to an ibook in my old work quite often, the trick I used was to roll my finger around the on button rather firmly, imagine you are sticking a wee sticker down and wanting to make sure every adhesive part of that sticker gets contact, this worked most of the time.

my G4, i have to push a power button a couple time. if i don't use it for a couple day like start up an old car engine.

happened to my old G4. I didn't even bother getting it fixed - bought an iMac instead.

i had a G3 that needed thumping repeatedly to turn on.
you could just try nudging at it first though...

Anyone ever had their ibook just...not turn on? Nothing...no power..no 'whhiiirrrrrrrrr'...nada. Battery full...power plug in...dead as a dodo it is.
