mac system fonts

hi everyone.
i installed fontexplorer about a week ago and it did something weird with my mac system fonts - the ones installed in - /Library/Fonts
they are just not there in that folder and i cant find them... anyway i can fix this? i dont want to have to re-install tiger

Replace the folder from someone else's Mac and things should all be fine. If not you can do an Archive and Install

With font explorer I think you can have it manage system fonts too. I don't think that its a good reason and moves your system fonts into its font folder. Check in there for you missing fonts and they should be there.
- I second what ian is saying. This is exactly what happened. Your system fonts were moved into Linotype's font folder.rodzilla

the pre-installed system fonts or the ones you installed in the fonts folder? If you selected fontexplorer to clean the system fonts folder then fonts not pre-installed with the OS were removed and moved to home > fontexplorex folder or it placed them in a folder on your desktop called FontsRemovedFromSystem + (insert date here).

if they are completely lost you could always use Pacifist and extract them from the install dvd

I had trouble with this before too. I can't figure out if you can export the Linotype fonts to somewhere else, without the folders/
