Here's a real long shot for the developers on here ...
A client of ours (paints) is asking about a calculator on their website that lets you calculate the amount of paint required for a certain area on your wall. We're working with a bunch of developers but I want to make sure they don't high balls us.
There are around 6 different mathematical formulas (depending on sq ft and what paint the visitor selects) that needs to be incorporated into it - it just needs to be transformed from notes on a paper into a calculator on their site.
Assuming you are a mind-reader and if this even makes sense, how long would this take to make? In hours.

Not long at all, I'd say - I mean, once you've built the graphics - you're going to have an input box for the Square Metrage, a checkbox for paint type (which of the 6), which then plugs into your formula. If you know what the formula is, the developer bit should take less than an hour.
As always, in my humble opinion.

i agree with detrius, used done something simialr based on weights for shipping to x different countries. the actual coding to calculate the amount of paint should be around 1 hr - the coding for design depends on the design of course!
