Magnify Lens Fills in illustrtor

This was a great feature in Freehand...you would think they would keep this in there for cs3...does anyone know the best way to get a magnify lens filter in illustrator

Dude use two layers and a layer mask in photoshop. Its a gimmick.

but to answer your question....there is no such filter/effect in Illustrator.
But I would just make a circle for your magnifying glass...create some bigger type and then mask that type with the circle...pop the magnifying glass back on top ....viola. Same effect no?
