Applying for a job in USA, and needing a work visa, I have to get my diplomas translated, and I also have to show some equivalence between my France/US diplomas.
I guess some of you have already experienced that problem.
any relevant link would be appreciated,
thanks

dyspl, have you got the position already? if not, you'll find it a bit hard hard to get a job straight away. Regarding the translations and equivalencies, your college/university should be able to do it for you and as a last resource you can try calling the US embassy/consulate in Paris and ask how to go about it.

I have the position, I've been asked by the company advocate to send some documents, including diplomas translations (official translation)
embassy & university can't help.....
translating is ok, but the equivalence issue is still not sorted.

Lloyd, would you mind translating my diplomas?
- Llyod0
ok. just go to google.fr and look up translation services. seems like a typical problem.

you're looking for grade EQUIVALENCY and not language translation, right?
- dyspl0
yes, language translation is ok (you only have to pay an official translater to get it the right way), my main problem is grade equivalency as you said.

i find it very strange that your universtiy can't help you with that. they're the only ones that really can help...
- dyspl0
and I find it very annoying :(
translators propose me to add '4 years university diploma'
does it make sens to you? my diploma is supposed to by equivalent to a BA.
- Corvo0
you're talking about equivalence, not translation?
