font transfer?

  i work off my desktop at my office and my laptop when i travel. i just got a new laptop and i'm not sure what the best way is to get all of my fonts on there. i use a PC with linotype FontExplorerX to manage my fonts. is there an easy way to do this?

  Desktop:
  c:\windows\fonts
  > select all
  > ctrl+C

  Laptop:

  c:\windows\fonts
  > ctrl+V

  • You can save entire seconds by using ctrl+A to Select All.detritus
  • oh gosh, i forgot about that whole painful middle bit - you'll probably need a USB stick or yoghurt pots and string.detritus

  haha, yes, i know i could do THAT. however, i have like 6000 fonts on here and only about 1000 active ones. i should have mentioned that i'm just trying to transfer the active ones to the laptop.

  when i to to the active fonts and "export" them, it never puts them in the folder that i specify. WTF?

  and i click yes and then i get this:
  

  

  and i click EXPORT but the fonts never show up in the folder that i specified!

  you can drag and drop the fonts right from font Explorer into a folder. DUR!!!!!!
