Our IT guy is pretty much a PC guy. We have a network setup at work with several printers on one floor.
One of the designers need to print a catalog proof so I switched up the printer IP for my computer to another. It says "server is busy will retry in 30 seconds." I've reset my printers and added all of the IP address to the printers back and am getting the same dialog box.
Any insight help, something I may be overlooking? Tried printing from my mail, Illy, Adobe reader, all of them gets the same dialog box.

what is the printer routed through? have you exposed that comp/port to the network as public?

as in;
is the printer connected to a computer, or directly to the network via ethernet cable?

restarted, just now for the 3rd time. There are 9 designers I am the only one having a problem printing to any of the 3 printers.
I even reset the printer list and re-added the IP's.

no the printers are connected to the network. My computer is connected to the network, so the computer talks to the printer through the network.
- repaired permissions from start-up disk, reset all printers, and still have no clue what it is. I'm taking my laptop tomorrow to see if that will print.rodzilla
