I hope we get to see how Widmore's group got to the island.
- My guess is the Black Rock shiplocustsloth
- Nah, that ships from the 1800's.harlequino
- yeah, but both Widmore and Alpert have been seen buying or constructing reproductions of it. It's gotta figure in somehowlocustsloth

@juhls:
Here's a real good link chronicling Jacob's appearances:
http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/…
The first time, it does look a lot like him, except with long hair. Then there's the eyeballs and then both Locke and Hurley see Christian Shepard in Jacobs cabin.
It'll be real interesting to see what they do with the whole 'Locke's going to kill Jacob" thing in the finale.
A friend reminded me that the guy who was urging Miles not to work for Widmore (Bram) was on the Ajira flight with the bounty hunter chick who nabbed Sayid. Both of them asked the "shadow of the statue" question. Also Cuse and Lindelof (show runners) said that we would get a better view of the front of the statue before the end of this season.
It's shaping up to be one heck of a finale

Ace of cakes had an episode with Lost! it was pretty amazing.

Wasn't it discussed before that Jacob looks like Locke from the future? Some really obsessed fans took screencaps of various episodes of when a character speaks to Jacob, and I heard somewhere that most people thought Jacob was Locke from some other time period. Anyway, who really knows. Maybe we'll found out next week.
- I saw those screencaps & comparisons. But if you look closely the chins arent the sameimnotadesigner
- ok. I really have no idea...juhls

Does anyone else get the impression the show's producers didn't really know what any of the shit meant during the first-second season any better than the viewers? They were throwing in random shit, the smoke monster, the hatch, polar bears, etc, then later they probably sat down and were like, alright guys, we need to tie this together somehow.
- The writers / creators have claimed they have known how it's all going to play out from the beginning.juhls

And regarding Jacob..... they're building up this mystery around him and I think when we find out who Jacob is, its gonna fuck all of our minds. I have a feeling it could be one of the original characters that is jacob. Maybe someone like Locke form the future.
- Jacob is.....locustsloth

The bomb goes off, they stop the flashes from happening and the next season starts like this: Jack opens his eyes as in the first episode, but instead hes on the plane and is awoken because the plane is landing.
The rest of the season plays out as if they were never on the island and never knew eachother.... but. Their lives are still intertwined someohow and the they still cross paths. It could also end with them ending up on the island some way because its their "destiny"Did I just fuck your mind or what??!
- nadnerb0
If in 1977 they detonate the bomb and make it so the hatch doesn't get created and none of it ever happened, they will never have gone back to 1977 to detonate the bomb to make it so the hatch doesn't get created and none of it ever happened.
Don't fuck with time.

The farther one has to suspend their disbelief, the harder it becomes for the uncommited viewer to stay with it. Personally i dig all the weird unexplainable stuff
- same. I don't expect things to be answered all the time anymore.juhls
- shitehawke0
So, do people still watch it?
- shitehawke0
Can't watch any more, I'm baffled 100%

Season 1 and 2 were weak, but things were a little more realistic back then. I'm happy with the way the story has been going for the past few seasons (for the most part), but I know it has alienated a lot of viewers.
- threadpost0
show has gotten realllllly lame the last season. Seasons 1,2,3 were great. Since then...um not so great.
Daniel Faraday was such a weak character anyway.
Get me back to the Locke, Jack, Kate, Charley, Hurley and Sawyer days.
- ukit0
That would make sense in a way...back to the present but the people from the past are still on the island, kind of an inversion of the current season. Also, everyone keeps talking about the "war" that's coming so probably that will be what Season 5 is mainly about.

Just watched this week's episode. God, i can't wait to see Phil die.
i have NO idea how the end of this season is going to go down. A good portion of it has to be with the Ajira flight survivors and their "shadow of the statue" talk. My guess is maybe the bomb desn't blow for whatever reason, the incident occurs anyway, but the 1977 Losties are blown back to 2007 where they have to fight this new faction of island inhabitants.
i'm really looking forward to this season finale and even more so to the last season and how they tie everything up.

So...anyone still following this?

- hahaha, 'slent.
I miss Eko - he was a good character. Well, perhaps 'miss' is perhaps a bit over-egged.Nairn

i can't believe they killed off Faraday. Well, at least they gave his back story.
And damn i hate Eloise. Any redeeming qualitites i saw in her character back when she was hounding/shepherding Desmond after the Swan explosion have been completely erased.
So how obvious is it that the orderly assigned to look after Desmond's Charlie is working for Widmore and that's how he gets Desmond (and probably Penny) go back to the island.
The preview for next week's episode looks pretty good.
My guess is that Jack gets the bomb to go off and changes the course of events and they spend the last season following all the characters lives and we see what woulda happened if they didn't crash. Or the last season is just the 1977 survivors going back to the future (1,21 JIGAWATTS!!!).

its just like bad robot to give you most of the answers but leave the really really good ones out.
Just like cloverfield... yeah its a monster.. yeah its killing everyone.....
