spiral binding

hello all.
first off im not a big fan of spiral binding, but i feel that it may be the only solution for a project that i am working on.
has anyone seen, or can anyone show examples of sprial binding done well?

theres a way to bind a cover around a document with wire binding which hides the binding when it is closed. think it is called canadian binding.

ive actually done that before with a catalog that i worked on a couple years back.
im thinking there isnt much room for innovation when it comes to wire binding. im just curious if there are some examples out there that are unique.

mmm. you could bind twice and have it opening two ways. you can have a double folding cover which also hides the binding. but thats about all i know of im afraid. pretty limited i think.
