internal search engine

  We need to implement an internal search engine on one of our customers site. The challenge is that the site contains a combination of static pages and database driven pages. We've tried Google Custom Search but the disadvantage of this is that it only searches in pages that are indexed by Google, so there is no inmediate result after changing, deleting or adding pages on the website.

  Does any one have good experiences with search engines for a site as described above.

  Help will be very much appreciated.
