I just finished making this thing and can't bring myself to go through it and make sure the instructions actually make sense. If anyone is a beginner/intermediate photoshop user and would like to spruce up their skills, give it a go and let me know whats good/bad.
Thanks
I'm going to take a nap

It's basic shapes & time consuming.
Any rookie can make it, it takes a pro to make it right.

bow to the mighty gfr0. I know you are the best at whatever you do but the key words here are beginner/intermediate. Its meant to introduce various functions of PS that those people might not know about.

I'd use 'resize > nearest neighbour' for the UI closeups you employ - the blurriness looks messy. Also, the window reflection doesn't quite work for me - I'd expect it to be either a) a bit more blurred on the underside when at that angle, or b) more horizontally orientated. Another thing - is the scroll wheel not a little close to the bottom? It looks like it's eating in to the bevel.
You don't make any mention of getting the real size specs and using them as a guide - so your size choices feel a little arbitrary.
It's a shame you've got to squeeze the screenshots vertically through the thin editorial column you've got - it makes it a bit harder to follow - I'd like a bit more room and distinctly noticeable stages - maybe have each graphic to the side of the point description?
Have you considered splitting out the UI graphics into another tutorial - just to make the one at hand a little more coherent?
Nice effort though - I doff my hat in your general direction.
- Thanks for being contructive. You are right about the images.lumedia

Next time I do one of those I will put together a summary of the process. I have been working on one for the last few months and its almost finished so its too late for that one.
Thanks the the praise

the illustrations on your site are fantastic. would love to see a tutorial, as detritus said.

Resize to nearest neighbor will look like shit for downsizing (unless you want the pixel art look :P)
Use Bicubic Sharpen.
