i know i can just make a gradient in a stroke or a shape, but this was kind of interesting. it came in from an illustrator and when you drag out the circled point, it fans out a bunch of gradated strokes. if you change the color of the top stroke, it gradates through the other ones. is this something done in illustrator or some weird shit that happens when you go across versions or come in from freehand?

Not sure if I understand completely. But if you have multiple items selected in Illustrator you CAN drag a gradient through all

nah.. this isn't just a gradient through objects.. the 2nd set is the 1st set expanded and they're all one object, but not grouped (i can't ungroup them), if that makes any sense.
thx for the link menos. is this example how it works typically?
- now that i play with this some, it seems like it blends between the strokes i'm making and not just blending the strokes i drew.. different setting maybe?MLP

yeah pretty much. The object once you do this is only the 2 end lines (in your case) but you can expand them to become the whole series of lines as objects themselves.

cool.. i'll mess around with it some more. thanks.
