I'm using DW CS3 with leopard. I have css class 1 and 2. I keep adding links, changing the font etc and it will not fit into the class styles. Every font change I make seems to create a style, the code is horrible and the view is not what I want, eg:
</span><span class="class1 style4 style9"> is inserted before the regular link. How can I prevent this style shit from happening? Bear in mind I'm a self taught dreamweaver and can only do what I need to do!

This is a great learning opportunity.
Save your work.
Close Dreamweaver.
Open the html file in Textpad or notepad and work out how to assign a class to a tag...you'll never look back.Welcome, son.

- go to code view, then find the element that you want to style, go into the tag and type class=" <- when its open dreamweaver will list yr styles for you to pick onemaximillion_
- You wait till you try it in Internet Explorer 6...creative-

I'm not sure what to say, as I don't have DW CS3, but, about 1.5 years ago, I had a co-worker tell me to leave DW's CSS shit alone and do it all myself. Now, I'm no hand coder by any means, but spending an hour today for you to learn the basics on assigning and writing CSS will be the best thing you do all year if you intend to even tinker around with web work at all in your future.
- well, maybe not the "best" thing, but it will be a great asset.Point5
